Responsibilities:

• To prepare in business requirements study documentation through interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
• Participate in the functional write-up for proposal.
• Design and conduct internal testing and customer’s UAT of the application.
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
• To conduct and prepare documents on gap analysis of the application against business. requirements/industry practices for both implementation and in-house development purposes.
• Conduct feasibility studies and proof of concepts with regard to user/potential customers requirements.

Requirements:

Position: Product Specialist (2 Positions)

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Product Head in the product operation initiatives.
• Perform application presentation and demonstration to all level of clients ranging from end users to C-level,
• Performing clients requirements gathering and market feedback 
• RFI, RFP analysis, preparation and documentation, solution proof of concept (POC) and solution offerings to prospective clients.
• Conduct internal and external product trainings.
• Conduct application functional and market research.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Business Information or equivalent
• Good presentation skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills is a must
• Candidate must be able to travel outstation and overseas
• Knowledge of the insurance operations will be advantages

Position: Project Manager (2 Positions)

Responsibilities:

• Draw up project plan, manage project team/s on-site and off-site in line with the project plan & cost efficiency to the Company.
• Ensure projects are delivered to customers according to the specification, timeline and costs defined.
• Manage internal and external projects as and when assigned by the Company.
• Ensuring that processes and procedures are continually reviewed and improved, and changes are communicated and implemented effectively.
• Act as the liaison between the company’s project team members and the customer project team or stakeholders.
• To lead a team of people software developers and/or system engineers to fulfill project execution including: chartering, scope definition, requirements gathering, project planning, software design & development, documentation, change control, risk management, training and reporting.
• Certain projects may involve management of software developers at a remote site or outsourcing to external parties.
• To work hand in hand with the company’s management towards meeting the customers’ needs and expectations.
• Prepare and provide timely reports, project plans and documents to Management on a weekly basis.
• To monitor, gather and file timesheets.
• Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions to customers as well as internal staff.
• Participate and contribute towards the company’s efforts in implementing good project management practices.
• Support and participate special projects.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Science & Technology, Engineering, Business Studies or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years project management or a lead role in IT services implementation projects with sound knowledge of project management methodologies.
• Knowledge in Insurance industry will be an added advantage.

Position: Software Developer - .NET (5 Positions)

Job Description:

• Responsible for developing and programming in Microsoft .NET of application according to the operational needs.
• Perform application development life cycle (SDLC), requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, documentation, testing and user training.
• Post-project application support or maintenance.
• Maintain and review existing systems from time-to-time to identify improvements.
• Provide pro-active solutions, preventing recurring of similar problems, taking into account the business needs of the users.
• Prepare the module specification for small to medium application.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years working experience on development using Microsoft .NET Framework (1.1, 2.0).
• Good working knowledge in: ASP .NET, VB .NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL languages and commands.
• Experience in Microsoft .NET best patterns and practices will be an added advantage.
• Have working knowledge and understanding of RDBMS functionality and relational data modeling, especially in MS SQL.

PAC seals agreement with Danish insurance firm

PAC Total Solutions Sdn Bhd, a member of HeiTech Padu Bhd, expects to attract a bigger slice of the Malaysian insurance market with its partnership with Danish insurance provider, TIA Technology A/S as announced on November 14, 2007.

PAC chief executive officer, Eric Loo, said the company has selected to partner TIA Technology because of its proven record in innovating solutions that were effective and could help lower costs of ownership for insurers.

“With the partnership we will be able to strengthen our business presence, initially, in Malaysia and other Asian markets such as Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand,” he said.

Under the agreement, PTS will market and implement TIA Technology’s flagship product called, TIA Solution, not only in Malaysia but throughout Asia.
TIA Solution is a modular integrated core insurance solution that manages the entire insurance processes that has since been successfully adopted in 45 insurance companies in over 20 countries.
